Emily takes the double women ski crown winning under 19 & Open Single Ski events at Victorian Titles
Not to be out done by the boys the girls finished strong to give the club a double gold in the boat section at the Victorian Titles
Under 23 boys head to the National Titles with good form after a great win in Victorian Titles

Ben wins Gold in Under 19 Board Race at Championships at Anglesea
Sophie Thomas wins double gold at Championships. Winning under 17 Female Surf Race and Ironwoman events
Holding Sisters 1st & 2nd in Open Female Board Race. Kim won in a close finish from Millie
Torquay takes 1-2 in the Victorian Single Ski Championships at Anglesea. Nick Muhlebach paddled a great race paddling all the way without any wave assistance only to be caught by six paddlers on the one wave and with shear strength held on in one of the closest finishes to take 1st place with Dave Morris 2nd and veteran Shane Edmondson of Anglesea 3rd and 4 paddlers filling 4th place

Nippers win the Victorian Club Championships at the on again off again Victorian Titles. After all individual events being cancelled on Saturday because of rough seas and bad weather all competitors returned to Lorne on Sunday to contest the team events which Torquay being winners on 175 points from Mentone 163pts and Pt Leo 3rd 160pts

For the second year running the women's crew have won the George Bass Surfboat Marathon with the mens crew coming in third. The race is over 7 days so with this behind them they can now concentrate on the shorter races.
Our Mobile Expresso Coffee girl Kirsty Walsh has become the clubs 1000th member for season 2011/2012
Congratulations to Courtney Stack and Thomas Farrall on performing a rescue using a tube at Cosy Corner, of a mother and her young son who were in a rubber boat. Both had only obtained their Surf Rescue Certificate the day before and attended a patrol the next day and were doing a roving patrol when they witnessed the boat moving out to sea when they headed out and assisted the young boy back to the beach. Well done to you both.
